Singapore Airlines Suspends Dubai Flights Until 2027 Over Regional Security

Singapore Airlines Dubai suspension

The major carrier halts direct UAE routes as Middle East geopolitical tensions remain fluid

Singapore Airlines officially cancelled multiple flights between Singapore and Dubai today. The major carrier suspended these specific routes until February 28, 2027. Airline officials cited the volatile geopolitical situation across the Middle East. The suspension currently covers two primary international flight services. It affects flight SQ494 traveling from Singapore directly to Dubai. It also halts the return flight, SQ495, traveling back to Singapore. The airline warned passengers that other regional flights could face similar disruptions soon. The security situation across the region remains highly fluid and unpredictable. Singapore Airlines urged all travelers to check its online status page frequently. The company offers full refunds for the unused portions of affected tickets. Customers who booked directly can request their money back through an online form. Passengers using travel agents must contact those third parties for their refunds. The carrier strongly encouraged flyers to update their contact details immediately. Passengers should sign up for mobile notifications to receive urgent flight updates. Singapore Airlines formally apologized to all affected customers for the sudden travel inconvenience. Aviation experts expect other international carriers might adjust their Middle East schedules similarly.
