Saudi 911 Centers Field Over 30 Lakh Emergency Calls in a Single Month

National Center for Security Operations

A Massive Security Operation

The scale of Saudi Arabia's emergency response infrastructure is simply staggering. The National Center for Security Operations officially received an incredible 3,007,723 calls through the unified 911 emergency number during October 2026 alone. This massive volume of distress calls was handled across the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions. A highly specialised, multilingual team operates these automated systems around the clock, routing absolute panic into professional, high-precision security responses.

Riyadh Leads the Call Volume

Breaking down the numbers reveals exactly where the emergencies are happening. The Riyadh region overwhelmingly led the statistics with a massive 12.2 lakh (1,222,099) calls in just 31 days. Makkah followed closely with 9.6 lakh calls, while the Eastern Region logged over 5.7 lakh. Madinah recorded the lowest volume among the major hubs with roughly 2.49 lakh calls. The unified 911 system proves it can handle the intense pressure of a rapidly growing population.
