Executing A Major Relief Campaign

Saudi Arabia continues its massive effort to combat hunger across Yemen. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center executed a major distribution campaign. KSrelief delivered 11,334 food baskets to displaced people and host communities. The teams operated across several Yemeni governorates from September 10 to 24. This action falls under the second phase of the emergency food interventions program. Workers distributed 5,798 baskets to people displaced by recent conflicts on the western coast. This specific distribution covered 23 displacement camps in Aden, Abyan, Taiz, and Lahj. It directly benefited 43,195 individuals representing 5,798 vulnerable families.

Ensuring Regional Food Security

The teams also delivered 5,536 food baskets to families in the Hadhramaut Governorate. This separate distribution provided vital nutrition to 38,752 individuals. Deputy Governor of Taiz Governorate Mohammed Al-Sanou praised KSrelief’s leading humanitarian role. He commended the continued fraternal support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi leadership remains dedicated to helping the Yemeni people survive this crisis. Consistent food deliveries prevent severe malnutrition in highly vulnerable rural populations.
