Twelve highly skilled Saudi volunteers from various medical specialties took part. The volunteer medical team examined 423 patients suffering from complex ENT conditions. They performed 107 specialized surgeries successfully during the short deployment. The doctors also dispensed 59 vital medications to support patient recovery.
Training Local Healthcare Workers
Furthermore, the visiting experts trained 16 local medical personnel in advanced techniques. This initiative falls under Saudi Arabia’s broader volunteer medical projects program. The Kingdom uses its humanitarian arm to assist the Sudanese people during their crisis. Medical missions provide care that local health systems cannot currently support. Training local staff ensures the benefits of the mission last for years. The Saudi volunteers represent the highest standards of global medical excellence.
