71 New Government Projects Face Brutal Public Scrutiny on Istitlaa Platform

Demanding Ultimate Transparency

The Saudi government is refusing to pass laws in the dark. The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's unified public consultation platform, Istitlaa, just put 71 massive projects up for public debate. In cooperation with 32 different government entities, the platform is demanding brutal feedback and proposals from the public before these economic and developmental laws get official approval. The days of rubber-stamping regulations without consulting the private sector are over.

Tackling Tenders and Infrastructure

The heavy-hitting projects include the Ministry of Finance's move to violently amend the Conflict of Interest Regulation within government tenders and procurement laws. The Saudi Geological Survey is also demanding strict new licensing rules for geological consultants to weed out unqualified practitioners. Meanwhile, the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center is totally updating its licensing controls to smash bureaucratic bottlenecks and speed up mega-project deliveries. Public feedback for these critical regulations remains open until November 28, 2026.
