The Leadership and Legacy of King Abdulaziz

The history of King Abdulaziz cannot be separated from the history of unity and establishing modern Saudi Arabia.

It started with him taking the city of Riyadh in 1902 and went on for decades through political and military events. By 1932 the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had been formally constituted.

In his later years he concentrated on ruling the united country and also on the development of government institutions, education, health, communication, agriculture and other public services.

The death of King Abdul Aziz 

King Abdulaziz ruled for many years until he died in 1953. His death ended the rule of the  founder monarch, although the Saudi kingdom persisted under his successors.

Conclusion

Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud played an important part in the establishment of contemporary Saudi Arabia. His life was strongly associated with the unification of the kingdom from the recapture of Riyadh in 1902 until the formation of the Kingdom in 1932.

His contribution went beyond unification, too. The new Kingdom was established during his reign as government administration, education, healthcare, communication, agriculture and other public services developed.

Today, King Abdulaziz plays an important role in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the creation of a united state.
