Sela And ICON Saudi Will Develop A Luxury Yacht Maintenance Facility In Jeddah

The Saudi marine tourism sector just secured a massive infrastructure boost. Sela signed a memorandum of understanding with ICON Saudi during the Monaco Yacht Show 2026. The agreement establishes a framework for developing a specialized luxury yacht maintenance facility. This state-of-the-art facility will be located in the coastal city of Jeddah.

The initiative aims to build vital technical capabilities within the Kingdom. It will bring highly sought-after international marine expertise directly to Saudi Arabia. This gives yacht owners and operators access to essential maintenance services closer to home. The facility will perfectly complement the region's rapidly growing luxury yachting infrastructure.

This includes the beautiful, newly developed Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina.

The project will keep pace with the massive expansion of marine tourism across the Red Sea. This includes spectacular new luxury destinations such as AMAALA and Shura Island. At present, most major maintenance work on Red Sea yachts is done in Europe. The partnership between Sela and ICON Saudi aims to close this logistical gap completely.

Building these technical capabilities contributes directly to Jeddah's growth as an integrated economic destination. This aligns perfectly with the ambitious economic diversification goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The MoU follows the exciting announcement of the upcoming Red Sea Yacht Show.

The prestigious yacht show will take place in October 2027 at the Jeddah Marina.
