Above-Average Rainfall Expected Soon

The National Center for Meteorology released an important climate report today. Experts forecast above-average rainfall across several Saudi regions. This wet weather pattern runs from November 2026 to January 2027. Precipitation levels will range from moderate to very heavy. The Kingdom will also experience warmer weather than usual. Average surface temperatures will rise above normal levels everywhere.

Regions Facing Extreme Weather

The Northern Borders Region braces for heavy rainfall this November. Parts of Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern, and Makkah regions face similar weather. Meteorologists warn these areas might experience extreme precipitation levels soon. Parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Hail will see moderate showers. Al-Baha, Aseer, and Najran regions also expect moderate to heavy rain. These specific areas could potentially record very heavy rainfall totals. Residents should monitor local weather warnings closely.

Temperature Increases Across the Kingdom

The probabilistic outlook reveals interesting temperature shifts for the winter. Average surface temperatures will likely exceed normal historical levels. This warming trend covers all regions throughout the three-month period. Experts expect the largest positive temperature deviations in the south. Parts of Aseer, Najran, and Riyadh regions will see major changes. Temperatures there will increase by approximately two degrees Celsius. These deviations measure expected changes against established long-term climate averages. Saudi Arabia clearly faces a unique winter season ahead.
