Saudi Arabia AHLC meeting

Dr. Manal Radwan outlines the Kingdom's commitment to peace and Palestinian sovereignty.

Participating in Global Diplomacy

Saudi Arabia participated in the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee meeting today. Officials held this important diplomatic gathering in Brussels. Dr. Manal Radwan represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She serves as a Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Acknowledging International Efforts

Dr. Radwan thanked Norway and the European Union for convening the meeting. She praised their tireless efforts in co-chairing the committee alongside the United States. She also commended the vital leadership of the United Nations and the World Bank.

Charting a Path to Peace

The Minister stressed the need to correct the course of the Oslo Accords. Leaders must establish a credible and permanent path toward peace. She affirmed full Saudi support for Security Council Resolution 2803. This resolution provides a comprehensive framework for political and humanitarian progress.

Financial and Political Support

Dr. Radwan reiterated the Kingdom’s ongoing financial support for the Palestinian people. She demanded the immediate release of Palestinian tax revenues withheld by Israel. She also commended Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa for his recent reform efforts. He continues to advance a realistic agenda under extremely difficult circumstances.

Addressing the West Bank and Gaza

The Minister emphasized the urgent situation currently unfolding in the West Bank. She warned that escalating violence and settlement expansion undermine the two-state solution. She called for the immediate protection of Palestinian civilians in the region. A credible political horizon requires an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. This future state must establish East Jerusalem as its official capital.
