Opening the Historic Dialogue

Officials from Oman and France launched their first strategic dialogue today. They met in Paris to discuss their growing international partnership. His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy led the Omani delegation. His Excellency Martin Prince led the French delegation during these important talks.

Expanding Vital Economic Sectors

Both sides highlighted their deep strategic partnership across various vital fields. The leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation to boost future development. They specifically focused on the economic, investment, and energy security sectors. The officials also discussed ways to improve culture, education, and professional training. These productive talks aim to push mutual cooperation to much higher levels.

Regional Diplomacy and New Agreements

The two delegations exchanged views on current regional and international issues. They discussed the recent Gulf region crisis and its broader impacts. Both leaders emphasized diplomacy and open dialogue as the best solutions. They urged all concerned parties to return to the negotiating table. Additionally, the two governments signed a new bilateral work agreement. This agreement grants work permits to the spouses of official government employees.

Key Diplomats and Attendees

Several high-ranking diplomats attended this important strategic dialogue session today. His Excellency Ambassador Munther bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthari joined the Omani side. His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Araimi also proudly represented Oman. His Excellency Ambassador Nabil Hajlaoui attended the session on behalf of France.
