Madinah Ethical AI Competition

Attracting Global Tech Talent

The Al Madinah Region Development Authority just launched a major initiative. They cooperated closely with the KAUST Academy at King Abdullah University. Together, they officially launched the exciting Madinah Ethical AI Competition. The organizers want to attract brilliant developers and researchers globally. They invite innovative startups from around the world to participate immediately. The competition challenges teams to develop highly innovative AI solutions. These advanced technological solutions must actively support local smart city objectives.

Focusing on Responsible Technology

The competition heavily relies on fundamental Islamic ethical principles. The organizers demand responsible AI development practices from all participants. Teams must focus heavily on ensuring user privacy and algorithm fairness. They must guarantee absolute transparency in their complex machine learning models. The authority wants to prevent any potential harm from automated systems. Registration remains open via the popular Kaggle platform right now. Interested technology experts must submit their applications before November 14, 2026.

Phases and Massive Cash Prizes

Participants will work remotely during the first phase of the competition. They will develop complex machine learning models from their home countries. These models must address a technical challenge linked to Madinah’s priorities. The judges will select exactly eight talented teams to qualify next. These finalists will advance to the exciting second phase of competition. The organizers will host this final round in person in Madinah. The intense final hackathon will last over three busy days. The winning teams will share a massive SAR 150,000 total prize pool.
