A Thrilling Night for Enthusiasts
Two gorgeous juvenile peregrine falcons sold for a massive combined SAR 382,000 recently. This exciting sale happened during the 15th night of the National Center for Falcons Auction. The popular 2026 auction continues running smoothly through November 30. The incredible event consistently draws strong daily attendance from passionate falconry enthusiasts.
The Incredible Birds Sold
Falconer Mnawer Al-Juhani and his brothers proudly presented the first beautiful falcon. They successfully caught the magnificent bird in the Al-Aqra area in Arar. The initial bidding for this particular falcon opened at exactly SAR 60,000. Enthusiastic buyers quickly drove the final selling price up to SAR 216,000. Falconer Omar Nayef Al-Azmi presented the second juvenile peregrine falcon to the excited crowd. He successfully trapped this stunning bird in the Al-Safaniyah region. Bidding for his beautiful falcon also started at SAR 60,000 initially. The crowd cheered as the bird eventually sold for an impressive SAR 166,000.
Protecting the Falcon Population
The national auction enforces extremely strict rules to protect local wildlife populations. The organizers only accept juvenile migratory peregrine falcons that hunters catch inside Saudi Arabia. They completely exclude adult peregrine and saker falcons from the public auction. This strict policy strongly supports wildlife sustainability and preserves vital adult breeding populations.
