Canada Issues Official Travel Advisory for Riyadh and Dammam Airports

 Canada travel advisory Saudi Arabia

Government urges citizens to avoid major Saudi aviation hubs due to recent military activity

The Canadian government issued a strict travel advisory for Saudi Arabia today. Officials urged all Canadian citizens to avoid two major Saudi airports immediately. The advisory specifically names King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. It also includes King Fahd International Airport located in Dammam. Canada cited a volatile security situation caused by ongoing regional military activity. The Canadian embassy posted these urgent travel guidelines on the X platform. Officials advised Canadians looking to leave the region to seek alternative routes. They suggested booking flights departing from neighboring Gulf countries instead. Travelers should consider flying out of Bahrain, Qatar, or the United Arab Emirates. Jordan also remains a viable option for international departures right now. The government urged citizens to confirm flight availability before starting any travel. Canadians must also check current entry requirements for these neighboring transit countries. This advisory follows recent Houthi missile attacks directed toward the Saudi capital. The Saudi-led coalition successfully intercepted those incoming threats. However, foreign governments remain highly cautious regarding civilian aviation safety. Diplomatic missions continue monitoring the airspace closely to protect their citizens abroad.
