Tehran Airport Resumes International Flights Saturday
Aviation officials slowly reopen Iranian airspace during the current ceasefire agreement.
Resuming Global Travel
The ISNA news agency reported an important aviation update today. Tehran's Imam Khomeini Airport will resume international flights this Saturday. This decision comes just days after Iran reopened its national airspace.
First Destinations Announced
The airport will launch its first returning flights to Istanbul and Muscat. The recent US-Israeli conflict forced leaders to shut the airspace entirely. The war began in late February and disrupted all global travel. Now, authorities are slowly restoring flight operations during the temporary ceasefire.
Expanding Flight Routes
Officials successfully reopened the Mashhad airport last Monday. This busy hub serves the second-largest city in northeastern Iran. Flight tracking data showed two international flights departing on Friday. These planes traveled safely to their destinations in Turkey and Oman.
