Pakistan re-imposes ban on Hafiz Saeed's JuD, charity arm
Pakistan on Thursday re-forced a restriction on the Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), framed by Hafiz Saaed to evade the prohibition on his Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and its philanthropy arm, the Falah-I-Insaniyat Foundation.
The choice was taken at a gathering of the National Security Committee, led by Prime Minister Imran Khan, to talk about the geo-vital and national security condition in light of the Pulwama suicide bombarding and its outcome, media reports said.
The two substances had been restricted in a statute declared by then President Mamnoon Hussein in February a year ago to correct the Anti-Terrorism Act with respect to prohibition of fear based oppressor people and associations to incorporate elements recorded by the UN Security Council yet this had slipped by.
