Expat arrested in Saudi Arabia made $3.7m by promising to double victims’ money with ‘magic’
Police in Riyadh have captured an expatriate who made $3.7 million (SR14 million) from a trick in which he promised to twofold people’s cash using magic.
The Arab national deceived his victims by asserting he could sorcery to boost their wealth, common government spokesman, Aloush receptacle Fares Al-Sebaei, said.
He said the offender was detected by Riyadh's “central field committee,” which is entrusted with catching practicers of exorcism, known as "ruqya," folk medicine and mediators of dreams, Saudi Press Agency detailed.
The man was arrested with the help of security experts.
