15 million unsafe products detected in shop raids

Inspection teams of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment have revealed around 15 million items that did not fulfill Saudi guidelines and determinations amid field visits to shops and business foundations in 2018, as indicated by a report in the Arabic every day Makkah on Saturday. 

The examiners did attacks against 39,500 shops and foundations amid which they found the damaging items comprising of lapsed foodstuffs, counterfeit magnificence adornments and fake products, among different infringement. 

The service's sources said the review visits were gone for ensuring that these shops and foundations were focused on shopper assurance controls. 

 

Resistance with the directions is a gross infringement, which is deserving of a fine of SR1 million, three years' detainment or the two disciplines together, the service said in an announcement. 

The service's branch in Makkah has alluded 1,056 cases concerning the infringement of shopper insurance standards to the uncommon courts.
