Senegal Dismantles Ten-Man Iraq in Historic 5-0 Demolition
Making African History
Senegal made absolute World Cup history today in Toronto. They became the first African team to score five goals in a match. They completely destroyed a broken Iraqi squad 5-0. Habib Diarra scored the opening goal in the fourth minute. Rebin Sulaka took a straight red card for Iraq shortly after. Iraq fought bravely during the first half despite the disadvantage. Senegal ruthlessly exploited their exhausted opponents after the break.
Unleashing the Bench
Manager Aliou Cisse unleashed his bench to inflict maximum damage. Substitute Pape Gueye scored two absolute rockets from outside the box. Ismaila Sarr also scored to break a massive national record. Iliman Ndiaye finished the slaughter with a beautiful top-corner strike.
A Complete Collapse
Iraq leaves the tournament completely humiliated and entirely exhausted. They simply lacked the physical stamina to survive with ten men. Goalkeeper Jalal Hassan replaced an injured Ahmed Basil at halftime. Hassan made several brilliant saves but suffered a terrible beating overall. Senegal looks incredibly dangerous heading into the next tournament phase.
