France should feel completely embarrassed by their performance today. They defeated Senegal 3-1, but the scoreline tells a massive lie. The European giants played like absolute sleepwalkers for an entire hour. Senegal completely bossed the midfield and created terrifying scoring opportunities. The French attackers looked completely disjointed and entirely unmotivated initially. They failed to register a single shot on target before halftime. Fans actively booed the French squad as they entered the locker room.

The Captain Forces the Issue

Kylian Mbappe finally decided he wanted to win the football match. He stopped relying on his useless teammates and took total control. Michael Olise managed to deliver one perfect pass in the 66th minute. Mbappe ruthlessly buried the ball past Edouard Mendy to open the scoring.
