Canada Wins 6-0 but Loses Ismael Kone to Brutal Injury
A Costly Victory
Canada secured a massive 6-0 World Cup victory tonight. However, the stadium fell completely silent in the second half. Star midfielder Ismael Kone suffered a terrifying, serious injury. Assim Madibo tackled Kone violently in the 51st minute. Kone hit the ground screaming in absolute agony. Several Canadian players immediately burst into tears on the pitch.
The Medical Response
Medical staff rushed onto the field to treat the stricken player. They carefully loaded Kone onto a stretcher to remove him safely. Kone bravely waved to the silent crowd as he left. The referee reviewed the horrific challenge using the VAR monitor. He instantly ejected Madibo with a straight red card. This violent moment completely overshadowed the brilliant Canadian performance.
Playing for Their Brother
The Canadian squad rallied aggressively around their fallen teammate. Substitute Nathan Saliba entered the match to replace Kone directly. Saliba scored a beautiful free-kick just minutes later. He grabbed Kone's jersey and held it high to celebrate. Jonathan David finished a brutal hat-trick to seal the 6-0 win. Canada must now face the rest of the tournament without Kone.
