Wednesday Weather Brings Gusty Winds Across Saudi Arabia
The National Center for Meteorology forecasts dust storms and choppy seas.
Dust and Winds Predicted
The National Center for Meteorology released its Wednesday weather forecast today. Meteorologists expect dust-stirring winds across Riyadh, Makkah, and Madinah. Hail, Al-Jouf, and Qassim will face similar gusty conditions. Northern Borders and the Eastern regions should also prepare for dusty winds.
Storms in the Highlands
Thunderclouds will quickly form over the southern mountain ranges. The highlands of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha expect gusty winds alongside the clouds. Residents in these areas should exercise caution while driving today.
Red Sea and Gulf Conditions
The Red Sea will see northwesterly winds reaching 45 km/h. Waves there will range from one and a half to two meters. The Arabian Gulf will experience relatively calm waters today. Gulf winds will peak at roughly 35 km/h during the afternoon.
