Umm Al-Qura University actively advances the cultural identity of the holy capital. The university recently launched its exciting "Cultural Front" initiative. This interactive experience documents the rich history and heritage of Makkah. It also highlights the university's standing as a premier higher education institution.
Showcasing Rare Archaeological Artifacts
The Cultural Front features ten specialized exhibitions containing rare artifacts. Visitors can explore beautiful historic monuments, coins, jewelry, and antiques. The front proudly holds more than 5,600 unique archaeological pieces. It also houses over 21,000 original and photographed manuscripts. Some of these incredible ancient sculptures date back 1,200 years.
Enhancing the Hajj Experience
The initiative has welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors since December 2025. During the upcoming Hajj season, it offers a modern virtual reality experience. This technology enriches pilgrim engagement with historic sites across Makkah and Madinah. The university continues serving pilgrims through these modern, innovative methods.
