Thousands of Volunteers Support Pilgrims During Hajj

Citizens guide crowds and distribute essential supplies across Makkah.

Mobilizing the Community

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced incredible volunteer numbers today. More than 17,000 volunteers supported pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season. They joined the municipal volunteer program to assist field workers.

Guiding and Rescuing

Volunteers guided pilgrims safely to their designated holy locations. They assisted security forces with vital crowd management tasks. Teams also supported emergency search-and-rescue operations when necessary.

Distributing Essential Supplies

The volunteers distributed umbrellas, water bottles, and hygiene products. These essential supplies reduced heat stress and enhanced pilgrim comfort. The ministry runs an integrated system of cleaning and volunteer efforts.
