Representing Saudi Culture Abroad
Taif proudly participated in the Cities of Literature Annual Meeting recently. UNESCO officially recognizes Taif as a prestigious City of Literature. Organizers hosted the creative event in Tartu, Estonia this May. Eng. Ahmed Jameel Haidar represented the Taif Municipality at the gathering. Abdulaziz Al-Meshari represented the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission there.

Attendees exchange expertise and discuss exciting joint literary initiatives. They also showcase best practices for developing the global literary sector. Members want to enhance the presence of literature in public spaces.

The Taif delegation explored various international experiences in urban literature. They proudly presented their successful "Literary Partner" initiative to the group. This model builds effective local partnerships to deliver community literary programs. It successfully expands cultural access to highly diverse local audiences. This participation reflects Taif’s ongoing efforts to build international cultural partnerships.
