Saudi Students Win 12 Special Awards at ISEF 2026 in Phoenix
Young innovators impress global judges with projects supporting Saudi Vision 2030 priorities.
A Triumphant Global Showing
Saudi students secured 12 special awards at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. The prestigious ISEF 2026 competition took place in Phoenix, Arizona. The Saudi team competed against more than 1,700 students from 70 different countries. Major international scientific institutions awarded these high honors to the Kingdom's brightest youth. The students eagerly await the grand prize results today.
Recognizing Practical Innovation
Judges award these special honors to projects showing exceptional research value. They also look for practical applications aligned with promising global scientific fields. This incredible achievement highlights a prominent Saudi presence at the world’s premier science event. It showcases the immense quality and innovation of projects presented by Saudi youth.
Investing in the Future
Dr. Tahany Albaiz serves as the Saudi Cultural Attaché to the United States. She welcomed the students to Phoenix earlier this week. She affirmed that this participation reflects the Kingdom’s deep commitment to youth investment. The student projects target critical national priorities like energy, engineering, and medical sciences. These exciting contributions will ultimately support the national economy and global competitiveness.
A History of Success
Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education proudly support the national team every year. Saudi Arabia has participated annually in the massive ISEF competition since 2007. This year, the team features 40 brilliant students. Twenty-three students traveled to Phoenix, while 17 competed remotely from Riyadh.
