Saudi Health System Expands Cardiac Care for Hajj Pilgrims

Hajj healthcare services

New catheterization laboratories provide rapid, life-saving treatments at holy site hospitals.

Upgrading Medical Facilities

The Saudi health system recently expanded its specialized cardiac care services. Officials prepared new cardiac catheterization and heart surgery laboratories. These vital facilities operate across the holy sites for the Hajj season. The Ministry of Health wants to enhance healthcare efficiency for all arriving pilgrims.

Providing Rapid Treatment

Cardiac catheterization treats heart and arterial diseases without conventional surgery. Doctors can rapidly treat heart attacks and clear arterial blockages. This modern procedure significantly improves diagnostic accuracy for critical cases. It ultimately reduces dangerous health complications among visiting worshippers.

Deploying Massive Emergency Support

Specialized centers now operate at King Abdullah Medical City and Al-Noor Specialist Hospital. East Arafat Hospital and Mina Emergency Hospital 2 also offer these advanced services. The health system deployed more than 3,000 active ambulances today. Over 7,700 field emergency personnel stand ready to serve the massive influx of pilgrims.
