Recognizing Global Migration Routes

The National Center for Wildlife celebrated World Migratory Bird Day today. Officials highlighted the theme "Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter." Migratory birds play a massive role in the sustainability of global ecosystems. Saudi Arabia serves as a highly critical global migration route. Scientists documented 499 different bird species across the Kingdom. This huge number includes 300 migratory and 180 waterbird species.

Implementing Smart Conservation Tools

The center launched several great initiatives to protect these animals. Workers installed special insulators on medium-voltage power lines recently. This smart electrical upgrade reduces accidental bird mortality significantly. Officials also automated national hunting regulations via the Fitri platform. This new digital system effectively curbs illegal hunting practices.

Earning International Recognition

International groups recognize Saudi Arabia's dedication to protecting migratory species. The Kingdom recently won an outstanding leadership certificate in Brazil. The center now urges the public to document all bird sightings. Community data collection actively expands our scientific knowledge. It helps support the rich biodiversity of local habitats.
