Reaffirming UN Support

Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its strong support for UN counter-terrorism efforts today. Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil delivered an important statement in New York. He called terrorism a direct threat to international peace and security. The Kingdom proudly serves as a founding donor to the Counter-Terrorism Centre.

Addressing Artificial Intelligence Threats

Ambassador Alwasil underscored the need to address emerging global threats. He urged nations to stop terrorist groups from exploiting artificial intelligence. Criminals increasingly use digital platforms for illegal recruitment and financing. Saudi Arabia demands a highly coordinated international response to these issues.

Condemning Attacks in Africa

The Saudi Ambassador highlighted the urgent need to support Africa. He noted that Africa remains the region most affected by terrorism. He strongly condemned the recent horrific terrorist attacks in Mali.

Arab League Meetings in Cairo

Separately, Saudi diplomacy continues to thrive at the Arab League. Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Matar met with Jordan’s Ambassador in Cairo yesterday. They exchanged cordial talks at the Kingdom’s permanent delegation headquarters. The two leaders discussed several important issues of mutual interest.
