Marking the Day of Settlement

The 11th of Dhu Al-Hijjah marks the first Day of Tashreeq. Arabs traditionally call this special occasion Al-Qarr Day. Pilgrims settle in Mina after completing their main Day of Al-Nahr rituals. They devote this day to prayer and the stoning of the Jamarat.

Following the Sunnah

Worshippers stay overnight in Mina to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad. Mina witnesses heavy pedestrian movement throughout the entire day. Worshippers head to the Jamarat facility to stone three pillars sequentially.

Mobilizing National Resources

Authorities mobilize massive human and technical resources to ensure safety. The government provides cool water, healthcare, and security to everyone.
