New Education Museum Opens in Al-Baha Region
A new educational museum opened in Al-Aqiq Governorate in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Baha Region, showcasing historical artefacts and documents that outline the development of education in the Kingdom.
The Museum contains rare textbooks dating from 1371 AH to 1442 AH (1951 to 2020). The collection also comprises archive publications, newspapers, magazines and early editions, which reflect the history of print journalism.
The museum is dedicated to the nation’s pioneering educators and their contributions to the education sector. Visitors can view historical academic records, certificates and instructional materials utilised in past educational institutions.
A model classroom also gives visitors a chance to learn about the evolution of learning spaces from conventional classrooms to modern educational facilities.
The museum offers an opportunity to learn about the history of education in Saudi Arabia through preserved papers, teaching materials and historical exhibits.
