Ministry Removes Over 16,000 Tons of Hajj Waste

Clearing Massive Amounts of Waste

The Holy Makkah Municipality removed massive amounts of waste from the holy sites. Workers cleared more than 16,000 tons of trash during the Hajj season. Field teams averaged over 200 tons of daily waste removal.

Deploying Essential Equipment

The ministry deployed 88,000 cleaning units across the sacred areas. Officials utilized 123 waste compactors and over 3,000 vehicles. More than 22,000 workers and inspectors participated in this massive effort.

Sanitizing the Holy Sites

Environmental sanitation teams treated and disinfected high-density locations. They sprayed over 46,000 sites across Makkah to protect public health. The teams successfully prepared Mina for the rapid return of pilgrims.
