Ministry Of Commerce Uses AI To Conduct 383,000 Field Inspections This Year
The government continues its aggressive campaign against illegal commercial concealment.
The Ministry of Commerce remains highly active in protecting Saudi consumers this year. They successfully conducted 383,000 inspection visits across the Kingdom through September 2026. The ministry also processed a massive 443,000 consumer protection reports during this period. They launched 58 separate recall campaigns covering 222,410 vehicles and 8,508 other products.
The ministry recently integrated advanced artificial intelligence solutions into its daily operations. These digital tools verify incoming commercial notifications quickly and accurately. They also optimize the deployment of field inspection teams across busy urban markets. The AI helps enforce risk-based compliance within the precious metals and gemstones sector.
A multi-agency national program is fighting commercial concealment aggressively.
This unified program brings 13 different government entities together for maximum impact. Field teams conducted over 34,000 targeted inspections under this specific initiative. They uncovered 1,066 suspected concealment cases and 77 standard commercial market violations. The program recently launched new AI-driven models to track illegal business activity.
This technology generates a highly accurate commercial concealment index for investigators. It also runs an automated case-routing system for dedicated field inspectors. This aligns with modern regulatory frameworks protecting the Saudi economy. The law allows violators of the Anti-Concealment Law to rectify their legal status.
Creating a transparent business environment remains a core Vision 2030 goal.
The government wants to ensure fair competition for all legitimate local businesses. Protecting consumers from faulty products and illegal practices is a top priority. The Ministry of Commerce uses every available tool to enforce the law.
