The Government Issues 1,360 Licenses To Improve Living Standards

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing just executed a massive regulatory overhaul. They issued 1,360 new licenses for collective housing facilities serving resident workers. These approved facilities currently accommodate approximately one million foreign workers across the Kingdom. The government implemented this new regulatory framework to strictly develop the collective housing sector. Enforcing Strict Compliance And Oversight

Under the new rules, owners of commercial establishments with 20 or more workers face mandates. They must provide licensed collective housing or secure approved alternative accommodations for their staff. The housing must strictly comply with all new regulatory and safety requirements. The Kingdom launched the National Program for the Development of Collective Housing in 2025. This program oversees the implementation of the rules and conducts rigorous field inspections. The initiative directly supports the targets of the Vision 2030 Quality of Life Program. Ten different government entities sit on the national program's board to coordinate oversight. They carry out joint inspection campaigns and take immediate regulatory measures against violators.
