Makkah Education Department Signs Deal to Support Grand Mosque Visitors

The General Administration of Education in Makkah Region and the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque inked a memorandum of understanding to develop services for visitors to the Grand Mosque.

The agreement, signed Oct. 8, 2026, aims to enhance cooperation, exchange knowledge and broaden volunteer possibilities for visitors.

The partnership would see the two organisations conduct combined training programmes, awareness-raising efforts and social responsibility activities. These programmes will give students and education personnel the opportunity to volunteer in an organised manner at the Grand Mosque.

The initiative also seeks to foster civic involvement and enhance the quality of services to visitors.
