Dense Fog Affects Visibility Across The Eastern Region Today

The National Center for Meteorology issued a specific fog warning today for the Eastern Region. The weather advisory covers the major cities of Dammam and Dhahran. It also includes several surrounding governorates, their villages, and administrative centers. The fog has significantly reduced horizontal visibility on local highways and in open areas.

The center stated the dense fog conditions will likely continue until 8:00 am. Residents and commuters in the affected areas should plan their morning travel accordingly. Reduced visibility can create hazardous driving conditions, especially during the busy morning rush hour. The NCM continuously monitors weather patterns across the entire Kingdom using advanced technology.

Advising Motorists To Exercise Caution On Highways

Local authorities advise all motorists to exercise extreme caution while driving in foggy conditions. Drivers should reduce their speed and maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles. They should also use their low-beam headlights or fog lights to improve visibility. Avoid sudden braking or lane changes, and stay focused entirely on the road ahead.

The Eastern Region occasionally experiences these dense morning fog events during certain seasons. Accurate forecasting helps city officials manage traffic flow and deploy emergency services if necessary. The government encourages everyone to follow official weather updates through verified communication channels. The NCM app and social media pages provide real-time information and essential safety guidelines.

Understanding the daily forecast helps individuals make informed decisions about their travel plans. It also allows local businesses and transportation services to prepare for potential delays. The Kingdom invests heavily in modern meteorological equipment to improve forecast accuracy continually. The fog is expected to clear as the morning progresses and temperatures rise.
