Organizers recorded more than 33,000 registrations from 135 countries alongside 489 accredited media representatives, marking the largest turnout in the congress's 93-year history. Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and WPC Energy President Pedro Miras officially inaugurated the landmark gathering on October 11. Throughout the week, ministers, chief executives, and engineers examined artificial intelligence, clean hydrogen, grid resilience, and global oil and gas market stability.

The Riyadh congress also celebrated historic industry milestones, presenting the prestigious Dewhurst Award to former Occidental Petroleum CEO Vicki Hollub. Hollub became the first woman in history to receive the global energy tribute. Meanwhile, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman honored six winning teams in the inaugural Energy Hackathon, which attracted over 6,700 young innovators from 40 Saudi cities.
