Spring snowfall in Saudi Arabia delights residents

Spring snowfall has cleared in to the mountains of north-west Saudi Arabian, turning the zone white and charming inhabitants. 

Mists started to frame early Sunday over Jabal Al-Lawz in Tabuk Province and by dusk, snow, secured all the zone transforming the ground into a white cover. 

Guests hurried early Monday to observe the climate conditions close to the Jordanian fringe and at the site of the NEOM uber venture. Many shared recordings and photographs of the uncommon climate conditions at the mountain. 

 

Fahd Al-Belawi said he and his family are satisfied with the snow, adding that they came ahead of schedule to the mountain to appreciate the climate, which he depicted as "one the best occasions in the year." 

Inhabitants Nayef Al-Harby and Mohammad Al-Shammari said this was their first time to see the area canvassed in snow. 

"This is the first occasion when we have seen the highest point of Jabal Al-Lawz covered in white, we've been hanging tight for this amid the previous days so we can come to appreciate the climate," they told SPA. 

One grinning young fellow posted a video of himself on Twitter in overwhelming falling snow. "I am neither in Moscow, nor am I in the Alaska. I am in Saudi Arabia," he said.

Meteorological forecasts said the temperature in the region dipped under 9C. 

Atmosphere scientist, Eid Al-Madhlaani, said it was very uncommon to see snow falling on the most recent day of March.

He cautioned individuals needing to visit the region to be cautious when driving on the elusive streets. 

Security watches, common resistance and ambulances were available in the territory to guarantee smooth traffic stream for the guests.
